A scientific study has shown that anger causes loss of lung power and increases ageing. It has been done in America at Harvard Medical School of Mental Health. The researchers of this institution conducted a survey of over 8 years. They took into consideration all the social and psychological aspects such as education level and smoking. They found that people who are unable to control their temper and having higher levels of anger are prone to lose their lungpower early. It causes sufficient wear and tear to move a person to grave. Scientists conclude that losing temper can cause serious damage to the body. To our body chronic anger is seriously injurious.
The known diseases caused by anger are as follows:
1. Eczema.
2. High blood pressure.
3. Depression.
4. Asthma.
Anger causing ageing faster by causing systematic and slow destruction of the vital organs. So it is advisable never to get angry. We must keep ourselves cool by thinking about the problem. Practice meditation regularly to keep us cool. Two sitting of meditation in a day is important. Pranayam (breathing exercises, the Indian way) also helps us to cool our body.
